Review: Prince of Persia Classic for Android and iOS
Prince of Persia Classic is a remake from the original Prince of Persia that began in 1989. There are several remakes of this game in the past for the mobile, one done by others by Gameloft and Ubisoft. But since then they have been removed and replaced with this one. The difference between iOS and Android is situated on content rating and size of the game is its price. You can get this game for $ 1.99 on iOS, and $ 2.99 on Android you can also try first for the trial. For its size alone, this game has a size of 224MB on Android and iOS 212MB/195MB and for content rating the iOS gives 12 + age limit to play this game and for Android medium maturity.
Gameplay
In PoP Classic, you are a nameless protagonist known only as Prince, whose task is to save the life of the sultan's daughter from the evil prime minister and take back the kingdom. The game is still running on the platform 2D and control to move the Prince is using a virtual joystick located on the left side of the screen. On the right, you have extra buttons to make your character jump, drop down and walk. During the battle, the key will be automatically turned into action to attack, defend, and to sheathe the sword. But the game is a little effort, since most have to do with control and everything to do with how the main Character moves. PoP Classic was playing on a 2D platform where you will be doing a lot of jumps and climbs, so the movement of the character to be just right to make the game more fun. But what you get from this game is the opposite of it all.
There is no precision in character movement. It would be easier to control the aircraft that lost two wings than to control the characters in this game. You cannot make Prince run well, you cannot make him stop liking you. Half of the game will only end up with your character run beyond the edge because he cannot stop according to what you want.
Movement up and down will be even more to make you frustrated. The movement of your character is very limited, so he can just jump straight up when in a stationary position. You have to align him right under the edge to be able to grab ledges above it; it is not easy when you are considering the accuracy of the motion of Prince. To go down else you will feel the same.
But the most annoying thing is another very slow movement indicated by the Prince. Every action you take will be followed by a slow animation, so you will see a game as if in slow motion or slow motion. There is no urgency in the movement generated; as a result it feels very sluggish animation. You need patience when playing this game because your character will often die. Even the location is very remote checkpoint. So it would be a hassle if you die much too often.
Graphic
the graphics are displayed on the game is arguably very feasible, but will appear blurry when played on a field like tablet screen. This makes it the only decent game played on a finite field such as mobile phones for example. The story of the game is told through 3D cut scene video featuring dialogue like most other games.
There is not much noise embedded in this game. There is no background music when you play it and the sound is only generated from the trap created by Prince. Music is only heard when you are in the menus and during the cut scene.
Conclusion
Ubisoft PoP Classic creation is arguably the work of a few bad of an experienced developer Ubisoft game spawned a classy game. The developers took what is one of the games most loved and remembered in the history of the game and turn it into a mess. But if you are a fan of this game, it would not hurt you to download this game. To get this game on your iOS device, you can get it here. And for your Android device, you can get it here.
